What is "Real-Time"?

The word "Real" refers to now, in the present. The term has been around for a while now, from the first air traffic control systems receiving live data of airplane's location and route. Indutries like Entertainment and Architecture have been slow to adapt due to graphics and processing hardware developments. From the first Lord of the Rings, Andy Serkis Golem performance, we witnessed how real-time can change the way we produce and develop using the right hardware. Fast forward 20 years, high-end graphic hardware and software is now enabling real-time workflows to be adopted in every industry daily! We can even track when our washing machine is finishing it's cycle.
